Il brano venne registrato per la prima volta dallo stesso autore Buck Owens nel 1964 (Capitol 5336). Due anni dopo Ray Charles portò la canzone al sesto posto della Hot 100 ed al quinto nella classifica Rhythm’n’Blues ed addirittura al primo della Easy Listening.
Elvis eseguì dal vivo questa canzone tre volt e nessuna delle tre registrazioni è disponibile a livello ufficiale. Ecco i dettagli:
